
Go See Live Theater. It can be just as engrossing as watching your favorite movie or television show, but it's happening right in front of you. Live theater can be a real treat.
Be a Jock. If your city has some kind of intramural sport program, sign up for volleyball, soccer, even dodgeball — and you'll find that you have a great new way to make friends and stay in shape.
Laugh. A good laugh can have the same kind of calming effect you get from a good cry. It releases endorphins and even can have the power to change your perspective.
Find Fun People. Seek out people who make you laugh or people who force you to take breaks from your day. You may even be a good influence on someone who has a little TOO much fun.
People Watch. Finding inspiration can be fun — explore a new neighborhood, take a walk through your favorite part of your city and see it in a new way. Camp out on a park bench or in a coffee shop and just take it all in.
